Walmart’s pharmacy is often the "reliable workhorse" of the retail world. If you are looking for the absolute lowest price on generics or the convenience of picking up your meds while you buy milk, it’s hard to beat. I met a really friendly pharmacist at this Walmart and gave food recommendations as well . Solved my problem quickly :)

I never go into Walmart because it’s always stressful nowadays, but I had to return an online order. First, I sit through the interrogation of my (unopened) returns. Then listening to the nonsense as the customer next to me tries to exchange his deodorant (his wife bought the wrong scent) and is told he cannot exchange it without a receipt (poor man came all the way to the store for this) despite the policy posted right above us saying otherwise. By then I needed a drink, but being told (after waiting in line) that I cannot buy alcohol at self check out, and of course their only human operated register has a line wrapped around the store. But the absolute worst was thinking I could sneak over to customer service to buy it. The guy sorting returns was throwing each grocery item one by one into a cart he was standing next to. He could have placed it down. But no, he threw every one, so loud and unnecessary. I had to leave the alcohol and jet. It has been years since I physically entered a store. I will not be back.

I am a Spark driver. Today, I went to Walmart Duarte #2401 to pick up an order. I arrived two minutes earlier than my scheduled pickup time 11/01(12:45 PM) and waited in the pickup parking spot. A staff member came over and rudely told me to leave. At exactly 12:45 PM, I returned to the pickup spot. Another employee then told me to cancel my order because I had a case of bottled water and a few personal items in my car. I immediately organized and cleared the space, but he still refused to let me pick up the order. His attitude was very rude, and I strongly believe his behavior was racially discriminatory. I was simply trying to do my job responsibly, and there was no valid reason to deny me service after I had already made space in my vehicle. I would like to formally file a complaint about the Walmart staff working with Spark drivers at this location. Mar. 2026 UPDATE: I used to live in Florida and frequently would go to the Wal-Mart there. California definitely isn't a place for Wal-Marts, I went just to pick up a small order (1 item) and it's definitely a hit or miss with the employees, some are kind, courteous and professional, others just hate to be there and it shows. I also went on a Friday at 11am, so very low traffic and at the beginning of the work day, and they're already kinda frustrated? lol. Anyways, I try to avoid going here if possible. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Overall, such a pleasant shopping experience. This Wal-Mart has so many negative reviews, but it must be the time when people go. I went on a Saturday evening (around 7pm) and it was such a relaxed shopping experience, it was worth it. Richard and 2 more associates that I asked questions were at all times friendly, helpful, and knew where to locate the few things I asked about. The cashier was also super friendly and helpful (lady with glasses) and even when leaving, when they check your receipts for the items, it was quick and efficient.
