I believe it's fair to say this Walmart is the biggest joke of all Walmarts Nationwide. Customer service, courtesy and professionalism are non-existent. They're so lazy in fact give them a call at 6:20 in the morning when there's no one in the store barely customer wise and no one call in the store and it'll ring and ring and ring until you get a message that says we're currently experiencing higher than normal call volumes. Don't be fooled this is just an excuse for the laziness and their inability to motivate themselves to answer the call at any hour of the day. Good luck with the store you're better off driving somewhere else and spending the extra gas

I went to Walmart with my daughter and my fiance. We were shopping and I had a question for a man named Adrian at the self-checkout. It seemed like me having a question bothered him. He was very rude, , and there was another young lady who completely ignored us when we were waiting in customer service. I understand that there's only people that work in customer service but she did not bother to get help. There is a lot of hate being spread around this world right now but there also is a lot of people out there who need jobs and it seems as if they do not like their jobs . I believe if they do not like their jobs they should not work there. When you work in customer service you are supposed to at least pretend like you are nice. I was helped by a very nice supervisor, all the supervisors were very helpful. , I'm only saying something because it's so sad I'm 7 months pregnant and I go to Walmart and I get treated this way for asking a question. All I did was ask a question. All he could think about was sitting on his phone and he got upset because I asked him a question. Other than that the self-checkout worked great and was very simple. All the workers were stalking the shelves and doing a great job.

This Walmart on Ames just feels sad at this point. I waited over 20 minutes in line today with only two registers open. When they finally opened more, I got to the front and remembered I still needed to ask for the sandpaper I had taken out of the locked case earlier. Apparently here you have to request locked items twice — once from the shelf and again at checkout. The cashier didn’t seem to know the process and couldn’t clearly tell me who I was even supposed to ask. I just stood there while employees slowly tried to figure it out. Everything felt slow and disorganized. The blind box area was also a mess, with most of them opened and picked through. It looked like no one had bothered to straighten it up in a while. It’s disappointing how run-down and poorly run this store feels lately. I used to shop here a lot, but I’m starting to dread coming in. Zero stars.

Pretty decent Walmart. Its on my way home so I go there on occasion. Its usually pretty busy but I never have to wait too long to check out. Small plant section but they have some decent plants.
