Si Daniels 2 months ago"Follow the logic". Upon entry a ~14 year old "security guard" informs me that I need to "pick up or put a vest" on my dog. Sure this is probably the sketchiest Walgreens I've ever been in, but if a dog needs Kevlar then the handler should be jacketed too, no? I know official Walgreens policy is no dogs, but it's also well known that it's really up to manager discretion. And why does this manager not allow dogs. Well apparently, a dog came in and took a dump in aisle 1 earlier in the day. So did this dog have a vest? No. So why did the kid let the dog in? Well apparently it slipped by! So why then are all dogs banned? "follow the logic" was the answer. Maybe the real answer is that Spock's explanation is a crock of (Dog) ----, or maybe time to hire an adult.
Eden Buxton 5 months agoThis is my first post of a review series about all the employees I love at this location. My wife and I are queer, and we have never experienced a lick of discrimination here--the only place in all of Albuquerque with no one on their staff who has had a bad taste in their mouth about us. I wanted to start with my absolute favorite employee there, not to say there aren't others I just wanna squish, but this employee and I have bonded for life: Angela-- You are the most lovely, kind, empathetic, and THE most striking woman, like, ever! When we have bonded on several occasions in times when each of us just needed a little bump, you and I saw each other, connected, and felt better because of one another. That's not the kind of bond people have these days with their regular customers--but we have it, babe. You are my favorite employee ever from any business. Don't forget that someone in the world sees you for the wonderful person you are. Alisa– Girl, you always look so professional, have the calmest tone, and know what you’re doing at all times. I know when I am helped by you the experience will be stream-lined and considerate of my time. Your smile is absolutely my favorite thing about you, and I could bask in the sunshine you emit. Thank you for your respect, kindness and efficiency. You’re beautiful inside and out.
Susan Lombard 4 months agoI have had trouble reaching a pharmacist several times. The pharmacy is closed often and forget about calling because your wait will be at least 20 minutes, sometimes after 20 minutes they hang up on you! Very frustrating 😕 I would NOT recommend this pharmacy to anyone. Take my advice and find another pharmacy.
Jeff B Richards 4 months agoConcerned that pharmacy was closed all day today due to lack of pharmacist. We had our pending prescriptions for the two of us moved to overnight delivery by our other pharmacy. I do appreciate the shortage of key professionals in pharmacy leading to these closures - I believe it's a worse professional staffing situation across the US than most of us understand and appreciate. These shortages of pharmacists, nurses, physician assistants, and physicians - not to mention these who teach and mentor - are not accidents, but rather results of decades-old decisions by the professions themselves to minimize growth and maximize the opportunity of individual professionals. That looked less ominous in the 1970's and 1980's when I remember these decisions were being made including by states and the Congress to keep it smaller, not expanding to meet obvious future needs.
Gerard Alonzo 2 months agoLousy service.Rude clerks, never enough staff. They close the main check out stands on evenings and you have to go to liquor to check out. I've been stuck on a very long line when buying one non booze item. Many people were lining up with lots of booze and only one clerk. Pharmacy staffing erratic. I have switched to Costco for medication refills. Retail part expensive, I shop elsewhere whenever possible.
