Mikey Hachey a month agoThe worst Walmart location in all of Northeast Florida. I have many examples so to save time. I’ll just highlight the last one from two days ago. My wife and I came in to do a simple return from an online order. It was a coffee machine and we were instructed online to simply drop off the unit at the store. We took immaculate care of the unit as it was damaged upon delivery and made sure to pack it back in the box exactly how it was. It was not used at all, but the unit itself was damaged so we had to return it. We arrived in the store and we must’ve walked by three or four employees without one single one of them, even looking at us. The store was chaotic. There were carts of go backs all over the customer returns area. When somebody finally came over to help behind the desk an older lady started complaining to her coworker about perhaps other employees right in front of customers and right in front of us. We didn’t even really know what was going on for a minute or two until we were next up in line. We were told we needed a manager approval to return the item because the item was a high dollar amount. The item we purchased was a little over $1600 completely understandable to get a manager approval. However, we are asked to wait. Well they served other customers. We must’ve been told two or three different times that the cost of the unit itself was too high. It felt a little strange having it been announced so loudly and in front of other customers. Anyway, after about 10 to 12 minutes of waiting, we were finally told by a team leader that the management would not approve of accepting the item. Even though we had just bought the item 2 days before it was clearly delivered damaged, we had even photos, and we had all receipts and return scan codes available and ready. We were simply instructed to drop it off at any Walmart store. We kindly asked to speak with the manager, who was giving the final order to not accept our return. Another four or five minutes went by, and we were told that the management would not come and see us, and that we were told that they could not help us. Thankfully, we got it resolved at another store. As soon as we walked into that other location, they simply took it in no problem. Thanks to Walmart for finally doing the return, but shame on us for going to Normandy location in the first place. Last time I’ll be going there for any reason. Especially if you plan on returning anything.
Elena Kennedy 4 months agoOn register 19, the checkout employee seems to be trying to assist a customer in stealing. I walked up and loaded my cart into the belt and the employee as well as the customer who both had the same accent stood still watched me for 10 minutes and then she ask me to move if I don’t want to wait. Her flashing light for assistance has NEVER been turned on. The manager is in front of us and has never been notified. It is 2:59pm est on 02/8/2026 and I am at register 19.
Gizmo X 4 months agoWanted to give Manny at money center some recognition for his hard work! On Monday the 2nd I went to Walmart to add money to my card. As always around this time it's really, really busy. The line at money center gets really long and tensions are high and people get really inpatient. One thing that stuck out to me the most was how the associate Manny was handling every customer. I've never seen an associate at Walmart have so much patience with people like he does. I even remember at one point he was even trying to help his coworker with a customer that couldn't speak English and from out of nowhere she snaps on him and began yelling at him for just trying to help. The way he kept his composure was so unreal. I felt bad for the guy but he took it well and continued to assist his own customer with a positive attitude. The next day I went back to buy a money order and again it was busy. Manny was there again and this time he assisted me on purchasing my money orders. I over heard the conversation between the managers that they didn't know how to load the money order machine, (which is totally unacceptable for managers to not know these things.) But once again Manny jumped into action and loaded the machine even though he looked like he didn't know how to do it. He didn't fold under pressure, he just trusted in himself to get the job done. When he was finished you can see how proud he was of himself for doing it. Walmart definitely needs more associates like this dude! Really good people skills, kind, genuine and professional! Definitely gets 5 stars from me!
Santacha Caldwell 2 months agoEvery single time I come to this Walmart I have a bad experience. Everyone is so busy tasking, doing online orders, being on their phones with AirPods or gossiping with eachother that , no one even looks up to greet a customer let alone show a customer the items they are looking for. On April 9th I came simply to get a cake for my daughter’s birthday. Multiple employees saw me standing there and not one asked if I needed help. I asked a girl wearing glasses and a curly fro if she can help me she flat out said no and the women in that department was on break and wouldn’t be back for an hour. I asked for a supervisor because I found it hard to believe that no one is crossed trained to write a simple thing in a cake. The lead came and said well “Karen” has been gone a while I believe she will be back in 15 to 20 minutes. I waited and came back 35 minutes later and still no Karen. The girl with the curly fro was still there and she grabbed a random guy to write on the cake which at that point I accepted because I couldn’t wait any longer. Let me add as they were behind the counter writing on my cake they were talking negatively about me. Fast forward today I come in to do a return from a delivery I got from this store of a TWO piece set. They only sent the shirt. The lead behind the register Lilliana says she can’t return it without a receipt and she won’t take a screen shot as I can be “scamming her” . Not sure why she wasn’t focused on her own customer because she wasn’t even the one taking the return. The some helping me helps me navigate through the app and returns it in a merchandise credit. I go shop and when I came back the merchandise credit wouldn’t scan. There was one nice young lady that finally tried to help and told me I had to go back to customer service. I went back the line was so far back had to wait gain while everyone was focused on putback’s and tasking while one girl did the line. The girl was miserable and didn’t even greet me. Finally after 30 minutes of trying to get checked out I was finally able to leave . Every single time I come here it’s just terrible. Everyone need retraining and management needs to delicate better because the lack of knowledge the delegation lack of customer service makes every time a terrible experience I dread coming to my neighbor hood Walmart. And too be fair it id NOT all Walmarts. Some run very smoothly !
Brian “Wilkalicious” Wilkinson 7 months agoAlways a good time but the store is pretty well taken care of. The only problem I have with Walmart is with their Walmart+ service. I have used it probably 10 times and 7 of those times I have had to call customer support to get something fixed, adjusted, or refunded. Hopefully, they iron the bugs out soon because I'm a disabled combat veteran w/o a car and the service is absolutely a "must have" for me. God bless 🙏🏻
